Black Residence
- For the Black Family's current residence, see Credigree Weed.
The Black Residence was home to the Black family and the largest house in South Park. It is located within the Dark Meadows gated community and appears to be the only house located there. Very little is known about the house due to how big it is, but it does have an original Van Gogh painting and many corridors. It makes its debut in the Season Four episode "Cartman's Silly Hate Crime 2000".
Background
In "Cartman's Silly Hate Crime 2000", Stan and Kyle take a public bus to visit the Black Residence, remarking that they didn't realize Tolkien lived so far away and suggesting the school buses in people from other races to promote cultural diversity. They come in to ask about Tolkien and talk to the Blacks about freeing Cartman.
The house has a different appearance in "Here Comes the Neighborhood", appearing much larger and more spacious when Tolkien complains to his parents that he feels bullied for their wealth.
The house underwent a facelift for "1%" that more closely resembled its first appearance, though with different colors and texture. Having previously insisted black people cannot be fucked with, Cartman seeks Tolkien's help so that nobody can mess with him or his stuffed toys, but he ends up rigging various booby traps to kill the toys anyway and has a showdown with Polly Prissypants in front of the fire.
In South Park: The Stick of Truth, it is revealed to be within a gated community that employs a Security Guard to keep out intruders.
In "The Big Fix", the Black family moves out of their home and into the Credigree Weed ranch house near Tegridy Farms; it is later put up for sale by Eric Cartman.
Appearance
Exterior
The manor's original appearance is painted an orange color with a brown door. It has a double garage. Due to the Black's financial situation, it is much bigger than any other houses in South Park. In its updated appearance in "1%" it is downsized and given more detail overall.
Interior
Downstairs, the Black's former house has two dining rooms, a kitchen and a large living room with a fireplace and balcony. The bedrooms are upstairs, the parents' room and Tolkien's room which has with many toys, a TV and a racecar bed. A basement is also mentioned, and is used as the base for the Freedom Pals HQ. In earlier versions of the house, there would have been many more rooms.
