For the Marsh family's former residence, see Tegridy Farms

The Marsh Residence is the Marsh family's house. Randy Marsh and Sharon currently live there with their two children, Stan and Shelley sometimes alongside others, though they have moved out on two occasions, including from Season Twenty-Two to Season Twenty-Eight. It first appeared in the episode "Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride".

The home is located on Avenue de Los Mexicanos, although its address is given as Bonanza Street in "Osama bin Laden Has Farty Pants". In "Chickenpox", it is directly across the train tracks from the McCormick Residence but since South Park: The Stick of Truth, the Broflovski Residence is usually shown between the Marsh home and the tracks.

Background

In "Cash for Gold", a photograph seems to depict Randy's father Marvin Marsh in the home sometime prior to Stan's birth, suggesting that the Marsh family has lived there for over ten years.

In "Clubhouses" when Stan's parents divorce, Sharon is seen remaining at the house with Stan and Shelley, as well as with her new husband Roy, while Randy seems to move out.

During the first several seasons, Stan's grandfather Marvin lived with his family at home, and would be seen eating dinner with them and and had his own room, seen briefly in "Quintuplets 2000". He may have moved out during Season Thirteen as he was seen eating with family in "Margaritaville", but was not present for dinner in "Eat, Pray, Queef" or at home in "Pinewood Derby".

In "You're Getting Old", Randy and Sharon divorce again and place the house for sale, before moving back in at the conclusion of "Ass Burgers". Shelley is seen leaving and returning alongside them, but Marvin and their dog Sparky are not seen in either episode.

Marvin was confirmed to have moved out in "Cash For Gold", and though he is sometimes seen with the family since then including at dinner as before, he has not been depicted with a room sleeping at the house.

In "The End of Serialization as We Know It", Marvin and Sparky are seen alongside the family in the living room as they watch television.

In "Tegridy Farms", the Marshes sell their house and move away to a farm further out of town where they grow marijuana, Tegridy Farms, and remain there for several seasons until losing the farm in "Sickofancy". They finally move back to their original home in "The Crap Out" as part of a Christmas miracle arranged by Jesus Christ to thank Stan.

Appearance

Exterior

The Marshes' House is built to the same basic floorplan as most of the other houses. The color of the house was light green in early episodes (making it look identical to Cartman's current house), but later changed to dark green (similar to the Broflovski Residence, the McCormick Residence, Chef's Residence and the Testaburger Residence). It has two stories and an attached garage.

Interior

The Marshes' House has a front room which includes a television and a gray couch in the living area, with a floor lamp, a small dresser and a photograph on the wall behind the living room. There is a dining room nearby including a table with chairs and seating for six, with a vanity nearby. The walls are purple and the floor is typically brown but is occasionally depicted instead as yellow.

The kitchen has pink walls with brown cabinets and a yellow tile floor that is later gray. The walls between the kitchen and living room were removed during "White People Renovating Houses" to create an 'open concept' living space.

Upstairs, there are four bedrooms - one for Randy and Sharon, one for Stan, one for Shelley, and another formerly used by Marvin Marsh. There is also a bathroom at the end of the hall. Stan's room has purple walls with blue flooring, with two dressers, a football-themed lamp, a prominent built-in closet, a toy chest with a dinosaur on it, a computer desk, and Stan's bed, with a blue blanket, is usually located near the window, which has blue curtains. A Street Warrior poster often hangs over his bed. Shelley's room has similar purple walls but with gray flooring, a computer desk and a white vanity, as well as a pink blanket on her bed. Sharon and Randy's room has a master bathroom, as well as pink walls and blue flooring, with orange pillows and a blanket over their bed, located between two dressers with separate lamps, and a photo of them.

Randy also has a study seen in several episodes, such as "More Crap", "Crème Fraiche" and "You're Getting Old", containing diplomas and books. Whether this is a conversion of Marvin's former bedroom or another room in the house, and which floor it is located on, is not known. He also sometimes appears to have a separate computer room.

There is a basement, which is rarely seen but includes a laboratory for Randy Marsh, and a work bench. There is also a work bench and a number of tools in the garage, which is occasionally depicted as attached but is usually detached.

Trivia

  • The Marsh Residence was absent from the series starting from "Tegridy Farms" which aired on October 17th, 2018, until "The Crap Out" which aired on December 10th 2025; a time span of seven years and 1 month.
  • Randy Marsh has a basic science laboratory in the basement.
  • Their television was stolen in "About Last Night...", but they either got it back or bought a new one, because a television in their living room is shown in later episodes.
  • In Season One, when they show outside shots of Stan's house, it is the same color as Cartman's House.
  • The house was destroyed in "Quintuplets 2000", however, it was rebuilt in later episodes.
  • In the episode "Osama bin Laden Has Farty Pants", the name of the Marsh Residence's street (Bonanza Street) is shown on an envelope that Stan sent to one of The Afghan Boys a for a school-mandated fundraiser. The zip code is 80439.
    • Although the address doesn't remain the same in "Reverse Cowgirl", when Randy's being given a ticket.
  • The picture in the living room is of Avalanche Lake in Glacier National Park. In the dining room is a picture of Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe, California.
  • The interior of Red's Residence in "The List" is the same interior used for the Marsh Residence, presumably to save costs until a new living room design was created for Red several seasons later.
