The South Park Elementary Special Ed School Bus is one of the school buses used by South Park Elementary. This bus, as the name implies, is exclusively used for special education students. The bus made its first appearance in "An Elephant Makes Love to a Pig". It later returned in "Up the Down Steroid".

Background

Inside the bus

In "An Elephant Makes Love to a Pig", Kyle Broflovski is barred by Ms. Crabtree from taking his pet elephant on the bus, who promptly apologizes when Kyle tells her that his new elephant is the "new retarded kid". Ms. Crabtree says that the elephant will have to take the special ed bus, which pulls in right-behind the default bus.

Eric Cartman rides the special ed bus in "Up the Down Steroid" to study the behaviors of special-needs children so that he can win the Special Olympics. In this episode, the interior of the bus is shown for the first time.

Appearance

There are shown to be six students on the bus in the aforementioned, plus a male bus driver with a surgical mask over his face. In the latter, there are also six children (not including Cartman), including a prototype of Scott Malkinson. The bus has a wheelchair ramp in the back.
