This article focuses on the interactions between Herbert Garrison and the other characters.

Background

Herbert Garrison is quite a controversial figure within South Park as a direct result of his presidency and his personality. The vast majority of his town is aware of his homosexuality, whereby in earlier seasons there was a gag of his peers saying he was gay which he would deny. He does not really get a long with the vast majority of the town, but has had some short lived positive relationships. The most notable of these were with Mr. Slave who was his former lover before his sex change in "Mr. Garrison's Fancy New Vagina". He is also extremely self centered, which has been quite often a cause for conflict with him having little respect, or friends in South Park up until he had became president where he had been supported by the white family with him showing little gratitude in return.

Eric Cartman

Herbert Garrison has a strong dislike towards Eric Cartman. He never pick Cartman to answer the questions because he thinks he doesn't know the answer right. He called Cartman as a "butt for brains" and later "cream puff".

Wendy Testaburger

Garrison and Wendy have had quite a complex relationship throughout South Park. Overall, she has had a negative opinion of him however there had been some slight instances of overall liking for him. For example, when we are to look at "Tom's Rhinoplasty", Wendy had been in fact happy for Mr. Garrison to return primarily because of how she had felt that Ms. Ellen had been threatening her relationship with Stan who had fallen in love with the teacher. However, she had been distraught when she had learned that Garrison was not going to return.

At the same time, Mr. Garrison has also remained quite defensive of Wendy. During the episode "Breast Cancer Show Ever", Mr. Garrison had been quite defensive of Wendy after Eric Cartman had gone out of his way to purposely annoy her with him becoming quite annoyed.
