Later airings extended this scene with Bundy cutting off Dahmer's tongue instead of ripping it out, Dahmer stabbing Bundy upwards through the throat, and the eyeless Gacy bashing Dahmer's skull in with a rolling pin. Unlike in the original airing, Gacy does not fall to the floor.
- The episode sparked controversy when it first aired because of the depiction of Steve Irwin. His widow, Teri, was said to have been very upset about the way Steve Irwin was portrayed, and was worried that their children would see the episode and be upset as well.[1]

Goofs
- Butters is heard singing "Going Back to Cali" during Biggie's interrupted flight to L.A. Biggie's album Life After Death was released 16 days posthumously, in March of 1997, but this song is the B-side to the "Sky's the Limit" single from the same album, released near the end of the same year, over eight months later.
- It is likely that this accident occurred because the writers wanted to use a song that featured P. Diddy, whose actions come up frequently in the episode, even though the song features Roger Troutman as well.
