Pope Francis, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, is the current leader of the Catholic Church who appears in the Season Seventeen episode, "The Hobbit". Following the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI in 2013, Pope Francis became promoted as the head of the Vatican church.
Background
In "The Hobbit", Pope Francis appeared to receive the honor of Time magazine's "Person of the Year" for 2013. Upon receiving the award, he is interrupted by Kanye West, who tries to convince the audience that Kim Kardashian is not a hobbit. As the Pope tries to correct him, Kanye pushes him aside.
