Update
Hey everybody HighJewElfKing here with a quick update on our administrator team. Effective today, HerbiMetal has been permanently demoted as an administrator on South Park Archives. This is unrelated to the incident with Herbi from February, we still will not discuss that incident per the drama policy.
Herbi was demoted for many reasons to put it short. Despite the cultural differences which are understandable, we found Herbi made multiple inappropriate comments to users. Her general user conduct was not up to our standards expected of administrators.
Although she did great work on encouraging active discussions, on the wiki side of things we believe despite being admin for over 8 months, Herbi does not have significant enough knowledge of how to moderate Discord, use MediaWiki advanced features and manage templates and other tasks expected of admins. These are just some of the reasons for her demotion. We want to be open and honest, especially when making a decision such as the one we’ve made today.
This was not an easy decision for us to make, but we believe it was the best for all involved. I can not stress enough that myself and SG deliberated significantly on this decision and gave it lots of thought before taking this action. I really want to thank Herbi for her contributions to our wiki before and as an administrator. I’m sure Herbi, if she likes, will continue to be involved in our community as a fantastic editor, discussions and discord user and amazing artist. I hope users will instead of focusing on the negative that we have to unfortunately deal with today, will instead congratulate Herbi for her work on our wiki.
