Trivia

  • This episode is billed as the premiere of Season Twenty-Eight, despite Season Twenty-Seven only having 5 episodes, and Matt Stone and Trey Parker signing a deal for 10 episodes a year with Paramount-Skydance. [citation needed]
    • There is some online speculation that the change is being done to "recalibrate" the seasons, due to Season 24 only consisting of the two Pandemic specials and the last few seasons being released sporadically, with less than 10 episodes each. The belief is that Season 29 could have the full 10 episode order for 2026 and move Season 30 to 2027 to coincide with the show's 30th anniversary.[1]

References to Popular Culture

  • Throughout the episode, Cartman and the other students at South Park Elementary are shown making a "juggling" hand gesture while yelling "Six Seven!".
    • The line is a reference to the "6-7" meme that has become popular among Gen Alpha beginning in early 2025. It originated from a rap song by Skrilla titled "Doot Doot (6 7)" which is considered "brainrot" as it is simplistic and has no particular meaning. It has caused some teachers to ban the phrase from being used in their classrooms, as it has become a major distraction.[2][3]
    • Upon the release of the trailer, South Park Studios changed their profile picture on their social media accounts to a picture of Cartman smiling while doing the "juggling" hand gesture.
  • The episode features Peter Thiel, the co-founder of PayPal and Palantir who has expressed concern about the Anti-Christ coming to power under the guise of government protection. [4]
    • Though this would be the second appearance of Peter Thiel in 2025, his character design is different from the one featured in the episode "Sickofancy".
    • Palantir, the data company that Thiel founded in 2003 is referenced in the episode, when he uses its software to scan the students' faces and perform background checks on them. The company has been criticized for its role in expanding government surveillance using artificial intelligence and facial recognition software, where it is used by police, military and other government agencies.[5][6] Some also view Thiel as being contradictory by warning people about the Anti-Christ and totalitarian government in his lectures while simultaneously providing the tools for a totalitarian surveillance state and profiting from it through multiple government contracts.[7]
  • The scene where Peter Thiel arrives at the Cartman Residence and deals with Cartman while reading from the bible is a parody of the 1973 film, The Exorcist.
    • The soundtrack "Tubular Bells" which was featured in the film can be heard when Thiel arrives at the residence.
  • During the dinner date, Peggy mentions Swedish political activist, Greta Thunberg and mocks her haircut before calling her the Anti-Christ. The line is in reference to Thunberg being mocked on social media for her new haircut during her attempted humanitarian trip to Gaza via boat in September 2025 as well as Peter Thiel's lectures where he compared her to the Anti-Christ.[8][4]

Continuity

  • The plot line of Trump and JD Vance attempting to get rid of Satan's baby starting in "Conflict of Interest" is continued.
  • Towelie is seen still trapped at the White House after being gifted to Trump in "Sickofancy".
  • A trend popular among children, 6-7, is presented as Demonic, similarly to Labubus in "Wok is Dead".
  • PC Principal assaults people for having different beliefs than him for the first time since Season 19.
  • Strong Woman makes her first major appearance since the death of woke, now going by "Strong Christian Woman" after converting to Christianity.
  • In the pregnancy class, there is a poster featuring the Laughing Baby from "Canada on Strike".

Goofs

  • On the interface of Theil's Palantir software, "gymnasium" is misspelt as gynasium.
  • In the very first frame, all the children entering the school abruptly stop for a split second before the next scene.
