Trivia

  • One day before the original release date, it was announced that the episode would first air on October 31 rather than October 29.[1]
  • The episode references Donald Trump's decision to demolish the East Wing of the White House in order to expand it and include a larger State Ballroom at an estimated cost of $300 million.[2] Besides the cost and demolishing historic architecture without any oversight, the decision has also been criticized by the media due to the East Wing being where the First Lady's office was located and consider its demolishment a major blow to women's history.[3] Trump has defended his actions by pointing out that the expansion was necessary in order to accommodate more visiting guests. He also noted that his predecessors have done similar expansions in the past and the construction will be privately funded.[4]
  • Randy highlights that he is currently unable to return to his job at the United States Geological Survey owing to the US government shutdown, which began October 1, 2025.
  • While praising Trump, Pam Bondi is informed that she has shit on her nose and then tries to wipe it off. This is a reference to the idiom, "Brown Nosing", which means to give someone excessive praise in order to gain favor with them. The term stems from another idiom, "Kissing Ass", which also shares the same meaning.
  • Stan tells Kyle and Kenny that South Park sucks now due to "political crap" and points out how long its been since Kenny has said anything or that they did something with just the four boys. The line is likely in reference to criticism of the show for the last few seasons from both fans and the creators themselves.
    • While the mainstream media and fans have praised Season Twenty-Seven for mocking the Trump administration[5], other media outlets and fans have criticized the show for heavily focusing on Donald Trump over several seasons[6], despite Trey Parker and Matt Stone having promised multiple times to stop focusing on him.[7][8] In a 2017 interview, Parker said that he did not intend to keep mocking Trump, but the internet and the changing media landscape turned the show into something where people tuned in to see what they would say about Trump next week and he and Stone were trapped in that process, which they hated. He also said that he wanted to stick to the bread and butter of the show, which is focusing on "kids being kids and being ridiculous and outrageous".[9]
      • In response to the recent seasons becoming more heavily focused on Trump and his administration, Parker said in an interview with the New York Times in November 2025, "It’s not that we got all political, it’s that politics became pop culture". Stone then added that they focus on topics that are considered taboo, noting that it had felt taboo to talk about the Trump administration following the cancellation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and temporary suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live!. They also noted that it wasn’t their plan to make Season 27 as political as it was and that "Sermon on the 'Mount" was going to be the only one focused on Trump, before choosing to continue with the theme for the sake of comedy. Parker also defended themselves by pointing that he and Stone are "very down-the-middle guys" and also added, "Any extremists of any kind, we make fun of. We did it for years with the woke thing. That was hilarious to us. And this [mocking the Trump administration] is hilarious to us.”[10]
    • The show has also been criticized for reducing Stan and the boys to background characters while focusing more on Randy and Tegridy Farms during the past several seasons.[11]
  • During the seance, the possessed Pam Bondi yells out "Epstein", which causes Trump to suggest that they should stop. This is in reference to American financier, Jeffrey Epstein and the "Epstein Files", which are documents and records that allegedly connect Epstein, as well as several high profile figures, including Trump, to a sex trafficking operation on Epstein's private island. Bondi has been criticized for her handling of the documents as well as the investigation of Epstein's death. She had originally promised full transparency and a rollout of the documents before declaring in July 2025 that a client list does not exist and no other documents will be released, and that Epstein's death was not suspicious.[12][13]
  • The outfit that Melania Trump wore in this episode is modeled after the dress and hat that she wore during her second state visit with Donald Trump to the United Kingdom in September 2025.[14]
  • Stan, Kyle, and Kenny are referred to as being part of "Gen Alpha", which refers to those born between 2010 and 2024.

References to Popular Culture

  • Meme coin cryptocurrencies are referenced in the episode. In real life, Trump has created a $Trump meme coin near his inauguration that got popularized at the time.[15]
  • SENDITT, the community where Stan posted his criticism of South Park, is a parody of news aggregator/forum, Reddit.
  • While examining the "rectalplasm", it is revealed to be 54% Filet-O-Fish, referring to the fish sandwich from the fast food chain, McDonald's. In real life, Trump is a big fan of the sandwich and orders food from there quite often.[16]
  • At the end of the episode, the song "If I Didn't Care" by the Ink Spots is played.

Goofs

  • Stan complains to Kyle and Kenny that he's a nine-year-old living in a retirement home. However, he celebrated his 10th birthday in "You're Getting Old".
  • A bulldozer runs over the White House fountain, causing an eruption. In following scenes, the fountain is back in its original state.
