South Park Elementary Cafeteria

The South Park Elementary Cafeteria is a common location within South Park Elementary for many scenes and is frequently seen where an episode will begin. It first appears in the Season One episode, "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe".

Background

In earlier seasons, the cafeteria was seen as the place where Chef would interact with the boys often to discuss life questions the children did not understand.

The cafeteria, along with the Playground, is now seen as the main meeting place where the students discuss their dilemmas in life.

• "Proper Condom Use" - The boys try to talk to the girls but they flee in fear of getting diseases from them.
• "Jared Has Aides" - Cartman, Kyle, and Stan fatten Butters up for his "Before" picture to be used in the Subway ad campaign by overfeeding him in the cafeteria.
• "Bebe's Boobs Destroy Society" - The girls reject Bebe and call her a slut on account of the attention her male peers give her for her breasts.

• "Casa Bonita" - Kyle, Butters, Stan, and Kenny are discussing the former's upcoming birthday party at Casa Bonita as Cartman sadly accepts the fact that he can't go.

Trivia

• Normally, the cafeteria tables only hold up to 4 kids on each side. However, in "Elementary School Musical", 5 boys sit on each side of the table where the boys sit.
• "The List" is the first episode to show the cafeteria after Chef's death in "The Return of Chef".
