Applebee's

Applebee's is a real-life restaurant chain that appeared in Season Twenty-Four episode "The Pandemic Special".

Background

The restaurant was first mentioned in "You're Not Yelping", where Gerald Broflovski writes up a lengthy Yelp review, summarizing that his experience was "sublime and my treatment near that of a gladiator most decorated. But the street parking wasn't that great". Gerald rated it 2.5 stars.

The restaurant later appeared in "The Pandemic Special", when Randy passes by only to find it closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. It was at this point when Randy decided to surrender the Pangolin that he had earlier stolen from the viral research center.

In South Park: Post Covid, the restaurant is subsumed by Denny's to form the "Denny's Applebee's Max" restaurant. A meeting is held there while a waiter explains that most forms of protein on the menu have been replaced by things that are synthetic or made out of bugs.

Denny's Applebee's Max appears again in South Park: Post Covid: The Return of Covid. Several people attend a party inside to celebrate Canadian Boxing Day.
